General
GraphCapsule is an enterprise cloud archiving and recovery platform that provides comprehensive protection for your cloud workloads including email, cloud storage, sites, and collaboration content.
While cloud providers offer basic retention policies and recycle bins, third-party archiving provides instant point-in-time recovery, protection against ransomware, extended retention periods, advanced search, and compliance features that go beyond native tools.
You can start archiving within minutes. Simply connect your cloud tenant with secure, read-only access, configure your archiving policies, and protection begins automatically.
Yes, all plans include a 14-day free trial. No credit card required. You can archive up to 10 mailboxes during the trial period.
Archiving
GraphCapsule provides comprehensive archiving for email (mailboxes, calendars, contacts), cloud storage (user files), sites and libraries (team sites, document libraries, lists), and collaboration content (channel files, attachments).
Archiving frequency depends on your plan and configuration. Options include daily automated archiving, hourly snapshots, or continuous data protection for enterprise customers.
Deleted items remain in your archive according to your retention policy. You can restore deleted items from any point in time, even if they have been permanently deleted from the source system.
Storage limits vary by plan. Starter plans include 50 GB per mailbox, Professional includes 100 GB per mailbox, and Enterprise plans offer unlimited storage.
Collaboration content is stored in cloud storage behind the scenes. By archiving cloud storage workloads, we automatically protect all channel files, attachments, and collaboration data.
Recovery
Restoring data is simple. Browse to the point in time you want to restore from, select the items or scope you need, and initiate the restore. Data can be restored to the original location or an alternate destination.
Yes, GraphCapsule supports granular item-level recovery. You can restore individual emails, files, or list items without restoring the entire mailbox or site.
Yes, cross-user restore is available on Professional and Enterprise plans. This is useful for employee offboarding, data migration, or recovering data for departed users.
Most restores complete within minutes. The exact time depends on the amount of data being restored and the current system load. You can monitor progress in real-time.
Yes, Professional and Enterprise plans support exporting data to standard formats like PST or ZIP files. This is useful for eDiscovery, legal hold, or offline access.
Billing
Pricing is per mailbox per month. Each mailbox license covers archiving for one user mailbox, plus the associated cloud storage and site content for that user.
A mailbox is a licensed user mailbox. Shared mailboxes are counted separately. Resource mailboxes (rooms, equipment) are not counted.
Yes, you can upgrade or downgrade at any time. When upgrading, you will be charged the prorated difference. When downgrading, unused credit is applied to your next invoice.
We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and SEPA direct debit for European customers.
Yes, we offer 20% off for annual billing. We also offer special pricing for qualified nonprofits and educational institutions. Contact our sales team for more information.
If you cancel, your data remains archived until the end of your billing period. You can export your data or request a data retention extension. After the retention period, data is securely deleted.
Security
All data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.3. Enterprise customers can use BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) for complete control over encryption keys.
Data is stored in EU data centers with primary storage in Germany and secondary storage in Finland to ensure GDPR compliance. Enterprise customers can request dedicated infrastructure in specific regions.
We are fully GDPR compliant as an EU-based company with EU-only data storage. We provide a comprehensive Data Processing Agreement (DPA), run automated security scanning (SAST, dependency CVE scanning) in our CI/CD pipeline, and maintain a public Vulnerability Disclosure Policy for security researchers.
Archives are immutable and isolated from source systems. Even if your cloud environment is compromised, archived data remains safe. You can restore to any point in time before an attack.
Access is controlled by role-based access control (RBAC). You define who can access what at every level. All access is logged for audit and compliance purposes.
Technical
GraphCapsule requires read-only access to the workloads you want to archive. We use secure, scoped OAuth permissions and follow the principle of least privilege.
No, GraphCapsule is a fully cloud-based solution. There are no agents to install, no VPNs to configure, and no infrastructure to manage.
Yes, a full REST API is available on Professional and Enterprise plans. You can automate archiving, initiate restores, and integrate with your existing tools and workflows.
Yes, our multi-tenant architecture is perfect for MSPs and enterprises managing multiple cloud environments. Each tenant is completely isolated with separate encryption keys.
GraphCapsule handles attachments of any size. Large files are archived efficiently using chunked uploads and deduplicated storage.
The dashboard provides real-time visibility into all archiving and restore operations. You can view job status, progress, and detailed logs. Email notifications are available for job completion and errors.
